Responsible for providing instructional and program development expertise to support the utilization of technology in the classroom. Collaborate with staff and faculty to develop instructional technology training. Works with college faculty to plan learning experiences utilizing technology and proven teaching and learning strategies.

Job Duties
  • Plans, develops, and delivers faculty professional development to include online workshops, face-to-face training, peer sharing, and repository of training resources.
  • Research, develops, and communicates innovative uses and practices of teaching/ learning with technology.
  • Assists with organization and coordination of the logistics of faculty in-services to achieve an effective professional development experience.
  • Works with faculty in groups or one-on-one to provide instructional design services that assist faculty in development of course-related materials, content and experiences.
  • Collaborates with team members to identify instructional goals and objectives relating to technology integration, including organization of content, and design of lesson plans and learning activities.
  • Assists faculty in defining and constructing instructional goals, objectives, content, lesson plans, and learning activities.
  • Provides design and production training and assistance for video production. Identifies instructional strategies for use in developing and delivering web-based courses and programs.
  • Provides assistance to faculty in creating original content and/or Open Educational Resources (OER), as well as utilizing commercial sources for instructional purposes.
  • Maintains current knowledge of instructional design, learning theories, forms of assessment, Bloom's taxonomy, and specialized software for creation of interactives to evaluate appropriate application of technology for course design and delivery.
  • Assists in the development of accessible course materials and implements universal design principles across educational content.
  • Facilitates and trains in the effective uses of information and instructional technologies that incorporate various teaching strategies to meet different learning preferences.
  • Conducts research, designs, and produces clear user documentation and other training materials (print, websites, multimedia and online tutorials), such as curriculum guides, timetables, and exercises.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of delivery and content of training sessions and materials. Maintains records and prepares related reports.
  • Collaborates with faculty to develop custom interactives for instruction and assessment using complex tools such as H5P and Articulate Storyline.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
The position requires a master's degree and a minimum of three years of prior-related work experience. Teaching and/or training experience required.
